Fargo Man Faces 5 Felony Sexual Imposition Charges
Fargo (trfnews.i234.me) — A Fargo man faces five felony charges after a child reported repeated sexual abuse over several months.
Nevin Paul Kadlec, 45, was charged September 10 in Cass County District Court.
He faces three counts of gross sexual imposition involving a sexual act.
Kadlec also faces two counts of gross sexual imposition involving sexual contact.
Court documents said Kadlec was in custody when the charges were filed.
The filing listed an arraignment for September 11.
A no-contact order was also issued in the case.
Investigation Began After Child’s Disclosure
The investigation began in late August after a family member contacted Fargo Police.
The family member reported that a child had disclosed sexual abuse, according to court documents.
Investigators later arranged a forensic interview at a local child advocacy center.
During that interview, the child described alleged abuse occurring on multiple occasions over several months.
Authorities have not released the child’s identity.

Police Search Fargo Residence
Investigators later obtained a search warrant for a Fargo residence connected to the case.
Police searched the residence as part of the investigation.
Court documents do not identify every item collected during that search.
Kadlec was also interviewed by investigators.
He denied having sexual contact with the child, according to court documents.
The complaint does not represent a finding of guilt.
The allegations will be addressed through the court process.
Five Felony Charges Filed
Prosecutors filed five felony counts against Kadlec on September 10.
Three counts involve allegations of gross sexual imposition by sexual act.
Two additional counts involve allegations of gross sexual imposition by sexual contact.
The case is being handled in Cass County District Court.
