POLK COUNTY, MN (trfnews.i234.me) — On Thursday, January 9, an East Grand Forks resident, Crystal Lea King, aged 43, was sentenced to 80 months in prison for conspiracy to commit a first-degree controlled substance crime. King had entered a guilty plea to the felony charge in November. She has been credited with six days of time served.
The case originated when a confidential informant informed law enforcement authorities about the possibility of purchasing methamphetamine from King. Subsequently, a controlled purchase of approximately 3.7 grams of methamphetamine was conducted. Additionally, law enforcement discovered communications between King and another suspected dealer, as well as their alleged supplier.
