Residents are urged to exercise caution as gusty winds, reaching up to 55 mph according to the Weather Service, whip up dust clouds along Highway 2. Burning is strictly prohibited during this warning period.

Visibility is reduced as dirt storms blanket the area, creating hazardous driving conditions and posing health risks. Motorists are advised to use headlights and reduce speed while navigating through the dusty haze.

  1. Today's farmers have taken North Dakota back to the dirty thirties. No tree's left to stop the fields from blowing. To me that is not a good farmer letting dirt blow like that.
