Cass Lake (trfnews.i234.me) — A Cass Lake woman is facing drug and DWI charges in Beltrami County District Court.

Lisa Marie Fineday is charged under Court File No. 04-CR-26-862.

The complaint was filed by the State of Minnesota.

Fineday is charged with fifth-degree drug possession.

She is also charged with fourth-degree DWI involving a Schedule I or II controlled substance.

Traffic Stop On Porcupine Road

According to the complaint, the incident happened on December 3, 2025.

Authorities said a vehicle was stopped near Porcupine Road in Beltrami County.

The complaint says the vehicle turned without using a signal.

The driver was identified as Lisa Marie Fineday.

Authorities then found an active warrant for Fineday’s arrest.

She was arrested during the stop.

A bag in Fineday’s possession was searched after the arrest.

The complaint says the bag contained a small bag with a white crystal substance.

The substance later tested positive for methamphetamine, according to court records.

DWI Drug Allegation

The complaint says Fineday showed signs of recent drug use.

Those signs allegedly included constricted pupils.

Authorities also said her pupils did not react to light.

Field sobriety testing was then performed.

During testing, nystagmus was allegedly seen in Fineday’s eyes.

The complaint says she estimated 30 seconds in 20 actual seconds.

Fineday allegedly admitted she had smoked methamphetamine the day before.

A search warrant was later obtained for a blood or urine sample.

The complaint says the warrant was carried out through a urine test.

A confirmatory test by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension found methamphetamine.

Charges Filed In Beltrami County

The fifth-degree drug charge is listed under Minnesota Statute 152.025.

That charge is listed as a gross misdemeanor.

It carries a maximum penalty of 364 days in jail.

It also carries a possible $3,000 fine.

The DWI charge is listed under Minnesota Statute 169A.20.

That charge is listed as a misdemeanor.

It carries a maximum penalty of 90 days in jail.

It also carries a possible $1,000 fine.

All charges are accusations.

Fineday is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
