Bemidji (trfnews.i234.me) — A 16-year-old boy surrendered Thursday evening after three adults were shot at a Bemidji apartment.
The shooting was reported at 4:40 p.m. Thursday, May 7, 2026. Officers were called to an apartment near 2500 Itasca Loop NW.
Beltrami County deputies also responded to the scene. First responders found three adults with gunshot wounds.
Victims Taken To Hospital
Emergency crews gave aid at the scene. The three victims were then taken to Sanford Bemidji Medical Center.
Authorities said the victims had critical injuries. Their names were not released in the first report.
The hospital was placed on lockdown as a safety step. Law enforcement searched the area for the suspect.
Police later identified the suspect as a 16-year-old boy. His name was not released because he is a juvenile.
Suspect Surrenders Without Incident
At 6:40 p.m., the teen surrendered at the law enforcement center. Authorities said the surrender happened without incident.
No other suspect details were released. Officials also did not release a possible motive.
The case remains under investigation. Additional details may come from the City of Bemidji or Beltrami County.
Charges have not been detailed in the release. The suspect is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
