Bemidji (trfnews.i234.me) — Chase Michael Oothoudt, 29, faces a felony charge following alleged threats against a woman and her fiancé.
A criminal complaint was filed on June 9 in Beltrami County District Court. It says the reported threats occurred on June 7, 2026.
Court documents allege Oothoudt sent several threatening text messages that evening. The messages reportedly followed a dispute involving his child.
One message allegedly warned the woman that her fiancé would be harmed. Investigators also obtained a Snapchat video connected to the case.
The video allegedly contained threats against the fiancé and responding deputies. It also included statements about shooting people, according to the complaint.
Authorities arrested Oothoudt later that evening following a traffic stop. He was booked on suspicion of felony terroristic threats.

The complaint described some weapons as high-powered rifles. Court documents did not state that any firearm was discharged.
