Beltrami County (trfnews.i234.me) ā A Red Lake man is facing a felony charge in Beltrami County after prosecutors say he violated a domestic abuse no-contact order.
According to a criminal complaint filed in Beltrami County District Court, Adrian Guy Livingston is charged with violating a no-contact order within ten years of two or more prior qualified domestic violence-related convictions.
The charge stems from an alleged incident on or about May 27, 2025. Prosecutors say the alleged contact involved electronic messages sent to S.L., the protected party in the case.
Complaint Alleges Text Messages Were Sent
Court documents state Livingston was barred from contacting S.L. under a domestic abuse no contact order, also known as a DANCO.
The order was issued after a September 2024 sentencing in a prior Beltrami County case. It barred contact by phone, writing, electronic message, or any other means.
Investigators say S.L. reported receiving multiple text messages from a person she identified as Livingston. The complaint says the messages included statements about their relationship.

One message allegedly referenced a possible divorce. Another message allegedly included a photo of Livingston with S.L.
The complaint says the messages were either sent or received in Beltrami County. It also states S.L. lived in Beltrami County at the time.
Felony Charge Filed In Beltrami County
The charge is listed under Minnesota Statute 629.75.
If convicted, Livingston could face up to five years in prison. He could also face a $10,000 fine, or both.
The complaint lists prior convictions involving a felony no contact order violation and a gross misdemeanor domestic assault conviction.
It also lists additional prior convictions, including third-degree assault, fourth-degree DWI, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Court records also state Livingston had an active probationary warrant in a prior Beltrami County case. That warrant was listed as outstanding since June 10, 2025.
Case information can be reviewed through Minnesota Court Records Online.
A criminal complaint is only an allegation. Livingston is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
