Bemidji Man Charged in Alleged Knife Attack
Ten Lakes Township (trfnews.i234.me) — Richard James Littlewolf faces three felony charges after an alleged knife attack in Beltrami County.
Prosecutors charged Littlewolf with second-degree assault using a dangerous weapon.
He also faces second-degree riot and threats of violence charges.
The alleged incident happened on August 9, 2026, in Ten Lakes Township.
Assault Reported on Porcupine Road
Authorities responded around 9:50 p.m. to an assault and attempted break-in report.
The call came from a residence on Porcupine Road Southeast.
A witness reported that Littlewolf had stabbed a man identified as J.O.
The witness also alleged Littlewolf tried to force his way into the residence.
Investigators reported seeing suspected blood near the entrance.
J.O. had a bleeding cut on the top of his right hand.
J.O. told authorities that a vehicle had passed him before turning around.
Several people were reportedly inside the vehicle.
Anissa Sequoya Kinchen allegedly approached J.O. and questioned him about another person.
The vehicle later stopped near the residence where J.O. was headed.
Knife and Metal Knuckles Alleged
J.O. said Littlewolf confronted him and threatened to kill him.
He reported that Littlewolf had metal knuckles with spikes.
Littlewolf allegedly chased J.O. onto the porch of the residence.
J.O. said his back was against a wall during the confrontation.
He alleged Littlewolf tried several times to punch him with the metal knuckles.
Littlewolf then allegedly pulled out a black folding knife.
J.O. said Littlewolf thrust the knife toward his chest.
J.O. raised his hand to block the knife, according to the complaint.
The knife allegedly cut or stabbed his hand.
Threat Allegedly Made Before Suspects Left
J.O. said Littlewolf then reached toward a black bag and mentioned a gun.
Another passenger urged Littlewolf to leave, according to the complaint.
That passenger was a minor and is not identified by TRF News.
As the group left, Littlewolf allegedly threatened to return and kill J.O.
Kinchen also allegedly warned J.O. to watch his back.
The complaint does not list charges against Kinchen in this case.
Littlewolf Arrested the Next Day
Authorities searched the area that night but did not locate Littlewolf.
Investigators found the suspect vehicle the next day on Roosevelt Road Southeast.
Littlewolf was reportedly riding in the vehicle before later taking the driver’s seat.
Law enforcement stopped the vehicle near Popple Drive Southeast.
Littlewolf was arrested during the traffic stop.
Investigators reported seeing an axe and a black folding knife inside the vehicle.
Three Felony Charges Filed
Second-degree assault is charged under Minnesota Statute 609.222.
That charge carries up to seven years in prison and a $14,000 fine.
The riot charge falls under Minnesota Statute 609.71.
The threats charge cites Minnesota Statute 609.713.
Each of those charges carries up to five years and a $10,000 fine.

Littlewolf is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
