Arrest Warrant Issued for Beth Ayn Erickson in Alleged Elder Abuse Case

GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – In a distressing case from Grand Forks, North Dakota, 59-year-old Beth Ayn Erickson faces felony charges of endangering an eligible adult. The charges stem from events between September 2022 and February 2024, leading to an arrest warrant against Erickson. According to the criminal complaint, paramedics responded to a welfare check on a 90-year-old woman on November 30, 2023. Erickson initially refused EMS assistance, claiming to be a physician, delaying access to the elderly woman in dire condition.

Upon entry, paramedics found the woman lying on the floor in poor condition, wearing a soiled adult diaper and sustaining open wounds, indicative of neglect. Despite repeated assertions of being a physician, Erickson hindered medical aid. The victim, diagnosed with dementia, required extensive treatment at Altru Hospital. Erickson, who lived with the woman and held power of attorney, attended the University of North Dakota medical school but lacked a medical license.

An arrest warrant underscores the gravity of the situation, shedding light on alleged elder abuse and the vulnerability of elderly individuals.
