Detroit Lakes, Becker County (trfnews.i234.me)
A Detroit Lakes man faces a felony fifth-degree drug charge in Becker County District Court.
Kyle James Bachmeier, 38, of Detroit Lakes, was charged after a traffic stop, according to court records.
Traffic stop
Court records indicate that the stop occurred on November 24 in Detroit Lakes.
An officer stopped the car after recognizing the driver, according to the complaint.
The officer knew the driver had a revoked license, according to the filing.
Items found near the passenger seat
The complaint says Bachmeier sat in the front passenger seat.
An officer reported seeing a small baggie on the floor by his feet.
The baggie appeared to contain methamphetamine, the complaint says.
The officer also reported finding a second baggie under the passenger seat.
The complaint describes an alcohol monitor near the baggies.
The officer noted a recent DWI arrest involving Bachmeier, records say.

Pipe and field test
Officers also found a glass smoking pipe in the passenger door area, the complaint says.
The pipe had white and burned residue, according to the complaint.
The driver and a back seat passenger denied knowing about the baggies, records say.
The larger baggie field-tested positive for methamphetamine, the complaint says.
It weighed 0.27 grams with packaging, according to the filing.
Bail and next court date
Court records say Bachmeier posted $300 cash bail on Nov. 26.
He was released under standard conditions, the record says.
His next appearance was listed for Jan. 5 before Judge Robert Raupp.
Future hearing dates can change after the first court appearance.
