BUXTON, N.D. (trfnews.i234.me) – On January 22, 2025, at approximately 3:15 p.m., a 2001 Honda CRV traveling northbound on Interstate 29, about 3.5 miles south of Buxton, North Dakota, lost control due to icy road conditions. The vehicle entered the east ditch and overturned.
The incident resulted in the death of a 39-year-old female passenger from Minot, who was pronounced dead at the scene. A 74-year-old male from Kenmare sustained life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to Sanford Medical Center in Fargo for treatment.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol is conducting an investigation to determine the identity of the driver at the time of the crash.
