Alayzha Ranae Skinaway, 21, of Bemidji, is charged with fifth-degree assault following the July 10, 2026, incident.

When deputies arrived, they found the victim crying with blood on her face and clothing.
The victim identified Skinaway and other individuals as those involved in the alleged attack.
Emergency medical personnel transported the injured woman by ambulance to Sanford in Bemidji.

During a follow-up interview, the victim provided investigators with additional details about the confrontation.
She reported that two men had started fighting shortly before Skinaway allegedly attacked her.
According to the complaint, Skinaway punched the victim in the face and forced her to the ground.
The victim reported being struck in the face at least 10 times during the incident.
She also told investigators that she suffered a fractured nose and a concussion.

Previous Conviction Increases Charge Severity
Court records cited in the complaint show Skinaway had a previous domestic assault conviction dated June 5, 2025.
