The Cass County Sheriff’s Office received reports of gunfire around 5:25 a.m.
The incident occurred in the 300 block of Balsam Avenue Northwest in Cass Lake.
Deputies responded to investigate the reported shooting.
During their investigation, authorities learned that an adult woman had been struck by gunfire originating from a vehicle.
The vehicle left the area following the shooting, according to investigators.

Woman Transported to Bemidji Hospital
Emergency responders treated the 38-year-old woman at the scene.

After receiving initial medical care, the woman was transported to Sanford Medical Center in Bemidji.
