MINNEAPOLIS (trfnews.i234.me) – A multi-vehicle crash occurred on Wednesday night just south of downtown Minneapolis involving seven vehicles. The incident resulted in one person being killed and several others injured.
According to reports from the Minnesota State Patrol, a vehicle was traveling eastbound I-94 towards Lyndale Avenue at a high rate of speed when it struck multiple other vehicles.
The driver of the speeding vehicle, identified as a 32-year-old man from St. Paul, had alcohol in his system at the time of the crash. His passenger, a 20-year-old woman also from St. Paul, was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
One person involved in the incident lost their life and several others suffered non-life threatening injuries. The ages of those affected ranged from 2 years old to 63 years old.
Further information about one of the passengers, a 26-year-old woman who was in an SUV at the time of the crash, will be released by the Minnesota State Patrol on Friday at 1 p.m.”
