Mahnomen Drug Case: Meth, Fentanyl Charges Filed

Mahnomen, Minnesota (trfnews.i234.me) — Dillon Keith Londo Jr. faces two drug charges in Mahnomen County District Court.

The charges follow a September 24 search at an apartment on College Road in Mahnomen.

Court records say officers first responded to a report involving a possible knife threat.

Investigators found insufficient evidence for charges tied to that reported incident.

Search Leads to Drug Evidence

The complaint says officers found Londo and another man inside a bedroom.

Londo told officers the bedroom was his, according to the complaint.

He also said the other man had been staying at the apartment.

During the response, officers saw a baggie containing a white crystal substance on a dresser.

A digital scale was also beside the baggie, according to the complaint.

Londo allegedly admitted using methamphetamine earlier that day.

He also said drugs might be inside the bedroom, the complaint states.

Investigators then obtained a search warrant for the residence.

The search uncovered several small baggies, a digital scale, foil, and other suspected drug items.

Officers also found a pink paper bindle containing a white powder substance.

The complaint says a crystal substance weighed about 1.8 grams.

A field test was presumptively positive for methamphetamine.

The white powder also field tested presumptively positive for fentanyl.

The apartment was part of a public housing complex, according to prosecutors.

It was also across from a park and located within a school zone.

Those locations are important to the felony methamphetamine charge.

Prosecutors charged Londo with third-degree controlled substance possession under Minnesota Statute 152.023.

The complaint alleges he possessed methamphetamine in a school, park, and public housing zone.

The charge is a felony, according to the complaint.

It carries a maximum sentence of 20 years, a $250,000 fine, or both.

Londo also faces fifth-degree controlled substance possession involving fentanyl.

The charge was filed under Minnesota Statute 152.025.

The complaint lists that count as a gross misdemeanor.

It carries a maximum of 364 days in jail, a $3,000 fine, or both.

The case is filed as 44-CR-26-587 in Minnesota’s 9th Judicial District.

The complaint includes an order of detention.
