WASHINGTON — Coca-Cola is pulling the plug on its latest “permanent” flavor, Coca-Cola Spiced, just seven months after its debut. The Atlanta-based beverage giant confirmed on Tuesday that the spiced flavor will be discontinued as part of its strategy to continuously adjust its product range to consumer preferences.

Introduced in February 2024 as the first new permanent flavor in North America in three years, Coca-Cola Spiced is now being phased out to make way for an exciting new offering in 2025. While no specific reason was provided for the decision, Coca-Cola’s North American marketing chief, Shakir Moin, previously noted the rapid development of the Spiced flavor, which took just seven weeks to create.

A review of the drink described its taste as “amped-up versions of the spices in regular Coke.” Fans of limited-edition flavors can look forward to future collaborations, such as the recent partnership with OREO on special Coke Zero and cookie offerings.
