Red Lake Falls Calls Include River Rescue
RED LAKE COUNTY (trfnews.i234.me) — Red Lake County deputies handled several calls between June 19 and June 24.
The reports included a river rescue, theft complaints, disputes, parking issues, and a recovered bicycle.
Theft And Vandalism Reports
A Lake Pleasant Township resident reported property stolen from a yard on June 19.
The theft remains under investigation.
On June 21, another person reported possible damage to the outside of a vehicle.
That case also remains under investigation.
Recovered Bicycle And Civil Disputes
A Red Lake Falls resident reported an abandoned bicycle on June 19.
The bicycle had remained in the resident’s yard for several days.
It was taken to the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
Anyone who believes the bicycle belongs to them should contact the agency.
Deputies also responded to a landlord and tenant dispute in Plummer.
They spoke with both sides and offered advice about the civil matter.
River Rescue And Golf Cart Complaint
On June 20, deputies received a report about reckless golf cart driving.
The complaint came from the north side of Red Lake Falls.
A deputy found the young drivers, spoke with them, and sent them home.
Later that evening, emergency crews responded to a medical call on the Red Lake River.
The Red Lake Falls Fire Department helped bring the person safely to shore.
Red Lake Falls Ambulance staff treated the person at the scene.
The person was not taken to a hospital.
Property Return And Camper Complaints
On June 22, a person reported that property was being withheld at a Red Lake Falls home.
A deputy contacted those involved.
Both sides agreed that the item would be returned.
On June 23, a camper was reported on Fourth Street Southwest.
The camper had remained there for several days.
The owner agreed to move it after being contacted.
It was gone by the end of the day.
A second camper complaint followed on June 24 at Riverside Park.
The camper had not been registered with the city.
The owner agreed to leave the park.
Softball Complex Disturbance
Law enforcement responded to the Red Lake Falls softball complex on June 24.
Two adult men had been involved in a verbal argument.
Officers spoke with both men and helped calm the situation.
