Bemidji (trfnews.i234.me) — A Bemidji man is facing a gross misdemeanor charge after police say he carried a BB gun in a public place.

According to a criminal complaint filed in Beltrami County District Court, Jordan Lee Lussier, 30, of Bemidji, was charged with carrying a BB gun, rifle, shotgun, or assault weapon in a public place.

The charge was filed under Minnesota Statute 624.7181. The offense is listed as a gross misdemeanor.

If convicted, Lussier could face up to 364 days in jail. He could also face a fine of up to $3,000, or both.

Police Responded To Downtown Bemidji

The complaint says Bemidji police were called around 1:30 a.m. on April 26, 2026. Officers responded to the area of 310 Beltrami Avenue Northwest.

That address is listed in the complaint as Keg N Cork Bar. The business was open to the public at the time.

Two people reported that a man had brandished a firearm, according to the complaint. Police later identified the man as Jordan Lee Lussier.

Replica Glock 19 BB Gun Reported

Court documents say Lussier was found with a replica Glock 19 BB gun.

The complaint says police believe Lussier walked on a public road or sidewalk while carrying the BB gun. That claim is tied to his reported entry into Keg N Cork.

Under Minnesota law, a public place can include government property. It can also include private property often open for public use.

The court complaint also lists prior convictions for Lussier. Those include gross misdemeanor DWI cases and a misdemeanor domestic assault conviction.

The allegations remain accusations at this stage. Lussier is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
