FARGO, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – In a dramatic turn of events, law enforcement officers successfully apprehended 39-year-old Joshua Steckroat on 18th Street South in Fargo on Tuesday afternoon.

  1. Police Operation: Members of the Metro Area Streets Crimes unit, alongside Fargo Police and Cass County Drug Enforcement, were attempting to locate Steckroat, who had an outstanding warrant related to a probation violation.
  2. Standoff in Garage: Steckroat, temporarily residing in a garage, refused to comply with verbal commands to surrender. Officers forced entry into the garage and detained a female, Rebecca Wilin, who also had an outstanding warrant for marijuana possession.
  3. Concealed Position: Despite search efforts, Steckroat concealed himself in the garage’s rafters. Chemical agents were utilized to induce surrender, leading to a peaceful resolution.
  4. Legal Ramifications: Steckroat faces charges including probation violation, failure to pay child support, driving under suspension, and fleeing in a motor vehicle. He was transported to Cass County Jail after being medically cleared.
