Grand Forks, North Dakota ( trfnews.i234.me ) – Malfunctioning railroad crossing arms caused major traffic delays across northwest Grand Forks during Thursday’s evening commute.
The affected intersections included 42nd Street and Emerado Avenue, University Avenue, and Gateway Drive, where crossing arms went down despite no trains in the area. The malfunction lasted approximately 30 to 40 minutes, creating backups that extended to Interstate 29.
Authorities have not released information on what caused the malfunction, and no injuries or collisions were reported.
