Almost hit a kid doing the exact same thing. At the exact crossing too. Bicyclists really need to watch wtf they are doing
Had some punk pull, out in front of me earlier this summer on purpose downtown. Wanted to get out and kick his a$$ but the adult in me, got the better of me in my 20s
I was crossing S. Colunbia Rd by BWW and an adult on a bicycle cut across in front of me! He is lucky I was paying attention. Did he not hear my car near him? Kids on bikes dont know the laws but an adult should know better!!! That is how car/bicycle crashes occure!
Half the problem is the streets are too wide. It creates a psychological feeling that everything can be seen and provides drivers with a false sense of security. The other issue is that GF streets are 100% not bike friendly so people do stupid things
