BECKER COUNTY, MN (trfnews.i234.me) — Damairay Devon Birge, 26, of Cass Lake, has been sentenced for felony fifth-degree drug possession in Becker County District Court after troopers discovered a massive stash of drugs during a routine traffic stop.
On June 11, 2023, Birge was pulled over for speeding on Highway 10. He was driving a rental vehicle not in his name and appeared nervous. A K9 unit alerted to the vehicle, and a search revealed:

Over 1,000 grams of vacuum-sealed marijuana

100 bottles of 1,000mg THC

More than 40 grams of psilocybin products
Birge admitted to marijuana in the vehicle. A felony fourth-degree drug charge was dismissed under a plea deal. He received:

45 days jail (7 days credited)

5 years supervised probation

100 hours of community service

$1,075 in fines

Ban on weapons, drugs, and alcohol (unless prescribed)

Mandatory treatment and aftercare
A successful probation could lead to case dismissal.
