Wright County: Hwy 55 Crash Injures Four

CHATHAM TOWNSHIP, Wright County (trfnews.i234.me) — Four women were hurt in a two-vehicle crash on Minnesota Highway 55 on Wednesday afternoon. The crash happened at the intersection with Wright County Road 12. The Minnesota State Patrol says both vehicles were on Highway 55 when they collided at 4:05 p.m. on November 27.

According to the State Patrol, a 2012 Honda CR-V was traveling west on Highway 55. The driver attempted to turn south onto County Road 12. A 2014 Ford Fusion was heading east on Highway 55 at the same time. The two vehicles then collided in the intersection. Road conditions were reported as dry. The public crash report is available through the Minnesota State Patrol.

The Honda CR-V was driven by Macyn Maureen Hallman, 16, of Waverly. She had non-life-threatening injuries. She was taken to Buffalo Hospital. The report notes she was wearing a seat belt. Alcohol was not involved.

The Ford Fusion was driven by Olivia Hope Steinhauser, 21, of Ostego. She also had non-life-threatening injuries. She was transported to Buffalo Hospital. She was wearing a seat belt. Alcohol was not a factor.

Two passengers were riding in the Ford Fusion. Marina Grace Perfetto, 21, of Ostego, had non-life-threatening injuries. She was taken to Buffalo Hospital. Karen Suzanne Steinhauser, 60, of Ostego, was also injured. She was transported to Buffalo Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. All passengers were wearing seat belts, according to the report.

Wright County deputies responded to the scene. Buffalo Police assisted with traffic and safety. Allina EMS handled medical care and transport. The State Patrol lists the case under reference number ICR 25603852. Information was last updated at 5:17 p.m. on November 27. Officials say the information is believed to be complete.

Investigators say the crash began as the Honda attempted the turn from Highway 55. Drivers are reminded to use extra care at rural intersections. Road and travel updates are available on the Minnesota 511 system, which provides live traffic and closure information.
