Pleasant Hill Township, Winona County (trfnews.i234.me) – A Pierce firetruck driver was hospitalized Saturday afternoon after a collision involving a 16-year-old driver on westbound Interstate 90 near milepost 261.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2013 Dodge Ram 1500 driven by Jaxton Kent Rein of Holmen, Wisconsin, struck the rear of a 2025 Pierce firetruck that was in transport status. Both vehicles were westbound at the time of the crash.

Rein and his passengers—Jonathan Kent Rein, 36, and 11-year-old Kenton John Rein, both of Onalaska—were unharmed. All occupants were properly restrained, and no airbags were deployed.

However, the firetruck’s driver, 59-year-old Richard Ronald Kellner of Waupaca, Wisconsin, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Winona Health. Alcohol was not a factor, and road conditions were dry.

I’m Chris Harper reporting for TRF News.
