ECKLES TOWNSHIP, Beltrami County (trfnews.i234.me) — A Bemidji man was injured in a rollover near Wilton.
The crash happened on Highway 2 at Highway 89. The location is near Wilton in Eckles Township. The time was about 1:13 p.m. Wednesday, January 21, 2026.
What happened
The Minnesota State Patrol reports a 2004 Ford F-250 was westbound on Highway 2. The truck lost control on icy roads. It entered the median and rolled.
Troopers listed the road condition as snow and ice. Only one vehicle was involved in the crash.
Driver identified
The driver was Leroy Allen Engesether, 83, of Bemidji. Troopers said his injuries were not life-threatening. The report lists his care facility as Sanford Health.
Troopers reported he was not wearing a seat belt. Airbags did not deploy. Alcohol was not suspected.
