Meeker County (trfnews.i234.me) — A Willmar man faces two felony charges.
The case involves alleged threats sent by text.
Tyler Daniel Hill, 38, of Willmar, is charged with two felony counts of Threats of Violence.
What the complaint says
Court papers say the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office got a report on January 5, 2026.
An adult woman, listed as Victim 1, reported odd and threatening messages.
She said the texts came from Hill.
The complaint says Victim 1’s adult son, listed as Victim 2, owns a local business.
Victim 2 previously employed Hill.
Investigators say Hill left that job about eight months before the report.
Investigators reviewed screenshots of messages sent from mid-November 2025 through early January 2026.
On December 27, 2025, Hill allegedly threatened to shoot Victim 2.
The message also mentioned a woman named Heather.
On January 3, 2026, the complaint says Hill sent more messages.
He allegedly asked where Victim 2 was.
He also wrote that he did not “play nice,” according to the filing.
The complaint says Hill then sent a photo of a knife.
The knife was next to clothing with Victim 2’s company logo, court papers say.
Other messages allegedly included threats to fight Victim 2.
One message also threatened Victim 2’s family, according to the complaint.

Prior contact
The complaint says Hill also tried to contact Victim 2 at his home in late 2025.
Authorities describe Hill as upset and acting disturbed during that encounter.
Case status
Hill was charged by summons, according to the court filing.
The alleged offense date listed in the complaint is December 27, 2025.
The case was filed in court on February 18, 2026.
Charges are allegations, and Hill is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
