Fertile – Willard passed away peacefully at his home on July 18, 2026, with his family by his side.
Willard left an unforgettable mark on the lives of everyone who knew him. He was a self-employed owner operator for 60 plus years of Solie Trucking. Willard was a devoted husband to Donna, sharing 59 wonderful years of marriage before her passing in 2019. Their love and commitment to one another was an inspiration to all who knew them.
He was a loving and remarkable father to Bryan (Liz) Solie of Fertile, Brent (Kerri) Solie of Fertile, Brenda Bertils-Edgar (Scott Edgar) of Thief River Falls, and Steve (Laurie) Howard of Plentywood, MT.
Willard was incredibly proud of his family. He cherished his 12 grandchildren and found immense joy in his 25 great-grandchildren, with his 26th due in November. The love he shared with each of them and the memories they created together, will live on in their hearts forever.
