White Earth (trfnews.i234.me) — Tasheena Rae Neeland, 36, of Detroit Lakes, has been sentenced in Becker County District Court.

Neeland was sentenced for felony fifth-degree drugs and misdemeanor DWI.

A second DWI charge was dismissed as part of a plea agreement, according to court records.

Vehicle Stopped Along County Highway 21

The case began on the evening of Aug. 6, 2025.

According to court records, a Becker County deputy was driving on County Highway 21 in White Earth.

The deputy saw the vehicle ahead pull onto the shoulder of the road.

The deputy continued driving and turned around about a half mile later.

Court records say the vehicle had started moving again.

The deputy turned around again and followed the vehicle.

The vehicle then pulled over a second time and stopped.

The deputy parked behind it and went to check on the driver.

The driver said she was fine, according to court records.

She said her daughter had been driving and became scared.

She said the girl pulled over because the deputy was behind them.

Meth Found During Stop

Neeland showed signs of impairment, according to court records.

She also performed poorly on sobriety tests.

Court records say Neeland turned over two small blue containers.

One container held a small bag with a crystalline substance inside.

The substance field-tested positive for methamphetamine.

It weighed about one gram with packaging, according to court records.

Sentence And Probation Ordered

On April 10, District Judge Michelle Lawson issued a stay of adjudication.

That applies to the fifth-degree drug charge.

If Neeland completes probation, that charge can be dismissed.

Neeland was sentenced to 15 days in the Becker County Jail.

She received credit for the two days already served.

She was also fined $500 plus $160 in court fees.

Neeland was placed on supervised probation for five years.

She was ordered not to drink alcohol or use drugs.

She must complete a comprehensive assessment and a diagnostic assessment.

She must also follow all recommendations, including aftercare.

The court ordered cognitive skill training and behavioral programming as directed.

On the misdemeanor DWI charge, Neeland was fined $500 plus $25 in court fees.
