White Earth Man Sentenced In Becker County Chase
Becker County (trfnews.i234.me) — Camarin George Hanks, 25, of White Earth, has been sentenced in Becker County District Court.
Hanks was sentenced for felony fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle.
Three other charges were dismissed through a plea agreement.
Those charges included police radio use during a felony, fifth-degree drug possession, and fourth-degree DWI.
Early Morning Traffic Stop
According to court records, the case began shortly after 2 a.m. on July 1, 2025.
A Becker County deputy was driving west on 370th Street.
The deputy saw a vehicle ahead fishtailing across the road.
The vehicle was stopped near the intersection with County Road 34.
A male passenger got out and raised his hands.
Investigators say Hanks was driving and then sped away.
The complaint says the vehicle reached speeds above 100 miles per hour.
Authorities said the vehicle crossed into the oncoming lane during the pursuit.

Pursuit Ends On County Road 37
After a lengthy chase, the deputy used a PIT maneuver.
The move forced the fleeing vehicle to stop on County Road 37.
The vehicle went into a ditch after the maneuver.
Court records say Hanks and a female passenger then ran into the woods.
A K9 unit later found Hanks.
The female passenger was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
Hanks was also arrested and searched.
Court documents say about 3.2 grams of meth were found in his pocket.
The drugs were found with packaging, according to the complaint.
Sentence And Restitution
Hanks was taken to the emergency room for medical clearance.
He agreed to provide a urine sample.
The sample was sent to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension for testing.
A deputy later found equipment inside Hank’s vehicle.
The complaint says the equipment was broadcasting police radio transmissions.
On April 24, Judge Gretchen Thilmony sentenced Hanks to 17 months in state prison.
He will serve the sentence at the Minnesota Correctional Facility-St. Cloud.
Hanks received credit for 214 days already served.
He was also ordered to pay $3,649 in restitution.
The sentence includes a $50 fine and $160 in court fees.
The payments will be taken from his prison earnings.
