West Fargo Woman Pleads Not Guilty to Felony Drug Charges in Polk County

Rebecca Dakota Grant

POLK COUNTY, MN (trfnews.i234.me) — A West Fargo woman, Rebecca Dakota Grant, 37, waived her omnibus hearing on Tuesday, Dec. 3, and pleaded not guilty to two felony drug charges in Polk County. She is charged with conspiracy to commit a first-degree controlled substance sale and third-degree sale of a controlled substance. The first-degree charge carries a maximum sentence of 30 years, though sentencing guidelines suggest 56 to 150 months, based on the defendant’s criminal history.

Grant is accused of selling 14 fentanyl pills to a confidential informant across two controlled buys in August, totaling $270. During an earlier buy on Jan. 25 at the River Cinema Theater in East Grand Forks, the informant expected to meet Grant but was met by another woman, who is believed to have been acting on Grant’s instructions.

Grant remains in custody on a $100,000 bond. A pre-trial hearing is set for 9 a.m. on Jan. 14.
