Otter Tail County, MN (trfnews.i234.me) — A West Fargo woman is facing serious felony charges in Otter Tail County for allegedly defrauding Minnesota’s healthcare assistance program.

According to court documents, Amanda Ann Woessner began receiving healthcare coverage in 2021 while residing in Fergus Falls with her children. In 2023, she and her children moved to North Dakota, yet she continued to receive Minnesota medical coverage without reporting her relocation.

The criminal complaint states that Woessner was overpaid $9,956 due to this oversight. She now faces felony charges of wrongfully obtaining assistance, theft, and theft by false representation.

The Otter Tail County Attorney’s Office is prosecuting the case, emphasizing the importance of reporting changes in residency to maintain the integrity of state assistance programs.
