GRAND FORKS COUNTY (trfnews.i234.me) — A West Fargo man is facing multiple felony drug charges after a bizarre incident at a rest area in Grand Forks County.
According to court documents, on March 10th at 2:20 a.m., a sheriff’s deputy spotted Cody Thomas Wilson exiting the women’s restroom at the Lore rest area before quickly locking himself in the family restroom.
Suspicious of his actions, the deputy investigated and discovered 65 M30 fentanyl pills discarded in the women’s restroom. When Wilson refused to come out of the family restroom, authorities had to force the door open to take him into custody.
Wilson is now charged with three felonies:
- Possession with intent to deliver fentanyl
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Preventing arrest
Authorities say the incident is part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.
