West Central Minnesota (trfnews.i234.me) — Troopers are working several crashes on snow and slush-covered roads in west central Minnesota.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, crashes are reported on Highway 75 both north and south of Moorhead. Troopers are also handling incidents on Interstate 94 at mileposts 58, 66, 72, and 78.
That stretch of I-94 runs from the Fergus Falls area toward Evansville. The update was issued around noon on Tuesday, November 25, 2025.
Officials say roads in the region are covered in snow and slush. Many drivers are traveling too fast in the obviously poor conditions.
A photo shared with the report shows a crash scene on I-94 east of Moorhead near the Buffalo River. Snow lines the roadway as traffic moves past the incident.
Troopers warn that even when lanes appear clear, hidden ice can cause sudden loss of control. Speed and following distance are key factors in many of today’s crashes.
Drivers are urged to slow down well below the posted limit. Turn off cruise control, buckle up, and leave extra space between vehicles.
Motorists can check real-time Minnesota road and weather information before they travel. Maps, cameras, and road reports are available on the state’s 511 system at 511mn.org. The Minnesota Department of Transportation also posts winter driving tips and travel advisories at dot.state.mn.us.
Troopers say the ongoing crashes on Highway 75 and I-94 are another strong reminder. Winter driving season has arrived, and speeds must match the conditions.
