Waseca County (trfnews.i234.me)—Driver Hospitalized After Ford Expedition Crashes Near Railroad Tracks on Highway 14

Janesville Township, Waseca County (trfnews.i234.me)A 49-year-old man from Owatonna sustained life-threatening injuries following a single-vehicle crash on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at approximately 11:16 PM.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the driver of a 2008 Ford Expedition was traveling eastbound off the ramp from Highway 14 when the vehicle continued across County Road 60, entered the ditch, crossed railroad tracks, and came to rest facing southeast just east of the tracks.

The driver was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, and alcohol was involved. He was transported to MCHS – Mankato for treatment.

Emergency responders from the Waseca County Sheriff’s Office, Janesville Police Department and Fire Department, and North Memorial Ambulance assisted at the scene.

The Minnesota State Patrol continues to investigate the incident.
