Warroad Man Faces Felonies After Brutal Bar Fight and Firearm Possession

WARROAD, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – A Warroad, Minnesota man is facing serious criminal charges after a violent altercation outside a local bar and being found in possession of firearms despite a prior felony conviction.

Tyson L. Meier, 42, has been charged with assault and illegal firearm possession following the incident on June 27th. According to court records, an officer was called to Breaker’s Bar just before 11:00 p.m. to find a group of people gathered outside. Cell phone footage captured Meier on top of another man, repeatedly punching him in the head. The victim required 13 staples to close a significant gash on his head.

Authorities tracked Meier to his apartment in Warroad, where they discovered two long guns. As a convicted felon, Meier is prohibited from possessing firearms. He now faces felony charges for both the assault and the unlawful possession of firearms.
