WARREN TWP, Winona County — Parked Van SMASHED by Semi on I-90 — One Injured!

WARREN TOWNSHIP, Winona County (trfnews.i234.me) — A serious crash occurred just before 8:00 p.m. on March 26, 2025, along westbound I-90 at Milepost 248, when a Peterbilt semi-truck collided with a 2003 Ford Econoline van that was parked on the shoulder.

The Econoline was occupied by Juan Daniel Cabrera Lopez (28) and Christian F. Zhiminacela (29), both from Minneapolis. Fortunately, neither sustained injuries, and both were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.

The semi, driven by Ricky Larry Harwood (58) of Birch Run, Michigan, struck the van and suffered non-life-threatening injuries. He was transported to Winona Health for treatment.

Road conditions were dry, and no alcohol was involved. Emergency response included Lewiston Fire & PD and Winona County Sheriff’s Office. The investigation is considered complete as of the latest update.
