WARREN, Minn. (trfnews.i234.me) — Aaron David Goff faces two felony charges after a gunfire call in Warren. The charges were filed in Marshall County District Court.
Court records say Goff fired a handgun into a garage on March 18. The shot hit a vehicle. Wendy Goff and others nearby were scared, the complaint said.
Goff is charged with second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon. He also faces reckless discharge of a firearm within a municipality. Minnesota law lists both crimes as felonies. The assault charge carries up to seven years in prison. The discharge charge carries up to two years.
What court records say
According to the complaint, Wendy Goff called 911 while children were in the home. Dispatch heard children screaming in the background. She said Aaron Goff put her Apple Watch in a microwave and left.
The complaint says he later returned with a firearm. Wendy Goff said he fired into the garage. She said the garage door was open. She told authorities the shot struck her vehicle. She also said children were playing next door.
Authorities later stopped Goff and took him into custody. Court records say a firearm was recovered from his vehicle. Investigators also found a bullet in the struck vehicle. They also found a spent shell casing.
The complaint says Goff admitted firing one round into the vehicle. He also admitted putting the watch in the microwave. Court records say he believed Wendy Goff and the children were scared.

Case status
The charges are only allegations. Aaron David Goff is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court. The case number is 45-CR-26-82.
