MINOT, North Dakota (trfnews.i234.me) – The North Dakota Sex Offender Registry lists Alex J. Emerson, 25, as incarcerated following his conviction in Ward County for possession of material involving sexual conduct by a minor.

According to court records, Emerson was convicted in Ward County District Court under state statute 12.1-27.2-04.1.

He was sentenced to five years in prison, with two years to serve. Records also note 279 days of credit for time already spent in custody. Following the release, Emerson will serve three years of supervised probation.

The registry lists his primary address as 3100 Railroad Avenue, Bismarck, ND, in Burleigh County. His current status is incarcerated, and his risk level has not yet been determined.

Emerson is described as a white male, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 200 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. No scars, marks, or tattoos were reported in the registry entry.

Officials emphasize that the North Dakota sex offender registry is a public safety tool. However, they caution that misuse of registry information to harass or target offenders is illegal and can result in penalties.

For more information, residents may visit the North Dakota Sex Offender Registry or the National Sex Offender Public Website.
