A Grand Forksman is in jail on this Thursday evening after running from police Thursday afternoon. This from Sergeant Iberowski at approximately 3:49 p.m. this Thursday. An officer was patrolling downtown near 11004th Avenue North when he observed an individual walking who he recognized. The individual identified as Jeremy Sudell, 42 of Grand Forks, had two active district warrants for his arrest. Upon noticing the officer, Sudell fled north from his location. Multiple patrol units responded and established a perimeter, resulting in a significant police presence in the area. Grand Forks Police K9 unit was used was deployed to assist in locating the suspect. Officers on scene received credible information indicating Sadell had entered an acquaintance’s residence in the 1100 block of Fifth Avenue North. Contact was made with the homeowner who consented to a search of the residence. Officers located Sadell in the basement where he was taken into custody without incident. He was then transported to the Grand Forks County Correctional Center where he’s held on his outstanding warrants.
