Walker: Hunt-Nabors Faces Domestic Assault Charge

WALKER, Minn. (trfnews.i234.me) — Rayden Leslie Hunt-Nabors faces a gross misdemeanor domestic assault charge in Cass County.

Hunt-Nabors, 20, is charged in District Court file 11-CR-26-1321.

The complaint says the alleged assault happened on Sept. 3, 2026, in Walker.

Prosecutors say Hunt-Nabors assaulted a family or household member with whom he shares children.

Police Respond to Domestic Assault Report

The complaint says Walker police responded to a residence around 7:09 p.m.

The woman told investigators Hunt-Nabors came to the home after work and appeared angry.

She said Hunt-Nabors bit her and pulled her hair during the encounter.

The woman repeatedly told him to leave, according to the complaint.

Prosecutors say Hunt-Nabors eventually left after she said she would call police.

The complaint also alleges Hunt-Nabors threatened to kill the woman several times by phone that evening.

No police officer names are included in this report.

Police reported seeing a bite mark and bruising on the woman’s right arm.

The complaint also describes red marks on her left arm.

Investigators reported wounds on the knuckles of her left hand.

Those observations are included in the probable-cause statement supporting the charge.

The woman is not identified in this report.

Prosecutors charged Hunt-Nabors under Minnesota Statute 609.2242, subdivision 2.

That law applies when a domestic assault occurs within ten years of a qualifying prior offense.

The complaint cites a December 2024 domestic assault conviction in Cass County.

Prosecutors allege that conviction makes the current charge a gross misdemeanor.

Minnesota law allows up to 364 days in jail for the charged offense.

A fine of up to $3,000 is also possible.

Those are maximum penalties and do not represent a sentence against Hunt-Nabors.

The complaint was filed with an order of detention.

A current public jail roster also lists Hunt-Nabors as booked on Sept. 3, 2026.

The roster lists a domestic assault gross misdemeanor subsequent violation.
