  1. Rest in peace my fellow angler. I've been near death myself on more than one occasion. Even in February weak spots exist. I prefer my snowmobile now. Lighter, easier to jump off. Sxs have roofs which trap you.

  2. Not sure how many brain cells it takes to understand the danger involved with traveling onto a sheet of bad ice with a heavy piece of machinery, but some people must feel that because they have money it doesnā€™t matter for them how stupid their actions are. It doesnā€™t. It just shows how lazy they are. They couldā€™ve walked out there. If itā€™s so far that you need a ride to the spot then Iā€™d find a closer spot. Sad that someone lost their life because of it, but they were probably warned by every person they knew that it was a dumb idea. Amazing how humans have survived as long as we have. Not only are we not intelligent, but some of us just love to prove that we arenā€™t.

  3. The disrespect on here is ridiculous. A man lost his life, and you people know absolutely nothing about the situation and what caused the accident. Driving a car on the road is probably more dangerous than people going ice fishing, but sure keep up the stupid comments.

  4. Absolutely insane that ANYONE or ANYTHING is on the ice right now. Weather and/or buildup has effectively slowed ice development this year by a good 4 or 5 weeks. STAY OFF THE DAMN ICE until conditions allow for safe travel.
