Minot (trfnews.i234.me) — A Utah fugitive was arrested Sunday night after getting off an Amtrak train in Minot, according to police.
Authorities identified the man as 33-year-old Bounchanh Halsana, of Utah.
The U.S. Marshals Service alerted the Minot Police that Halsana was believed to be traveling to Minot by train on Sunday, May 10.
Investigators also told police that Halsana had recently fled from law enforcement in three other states.
Wanted On Utah Warrant
According to a release from the Minot Police, Halsana had a full extraditable warrant issued by the state of Utah.
Police said Halsana was also identified as a violent Crip gang member.
Authorities described him as one of the Salt Lake City area’s most wanted fugitives.

Arrest Made After Train Arrival
Police said the arrest happened at about 9:30 p.m.
Halsana was located after exiting the train in Minot.
He was taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit, according to the police release.
The arrest was part of a coordinated multi-agency operation.
Several agencies assisted the Minot Police during the operation.
Those agencies included the Ward County Narcotics Task Force and Minot SWAT.
The Minot Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
Other agencies involved included Homeland Security Investigations and the Amtrak Police Department.
The Salt Lake City Police Department Gang Unit also assisted.
The U.S. Marshals Service was also involved in the arrest.
Held In Ward County
Halsana remained in custody Monday afternoon at the Ward County Detention Center.
No additional court details were immediately available in the police release.
The case remains connected to the Utah warrant and extradition process.
