UPDATE: The Grand Forks Fire – Hear Stories of Resilience and Tragedy

Grand Forks, ND (trfnews.i234.me) A Tuesday fire left 12 condos uninhabitable for now. It also left behind stories that are good and bad.
neil carlson here at the cherry arms condominiums off cherry street in grand forks where on tuesday a fire um left 12 units here uninhabitable at least for now it also left behind a couple of stories good and bad clayton lamock lived here on the ground floor he not only lost his place to live at least for now his wife had just passed away was he able to get in there today yes he was in there to get in there a few things out today not much because most of his water soap so all right and you guys have also your dad lost his place here for at least a while now you guys have also had a bad week you lost your mom he lost his wife correct okay so things aren’t going great this week no not really i just came here from texas yeah so did they let him in there today to get a few things it looks like they’ll they’ll be able to move back in or what are they talking about i don’t know i don’t know for sure there’s a lot of water damage so i don’t know and there is some good news in all this a mail carrier saw the fire first and ran door to door alerting people to get out he saw the flames so he uh knocked on doors and as many builders many units as he could um that’s good because my dad doesn’t always have his hearing aids in so it’s kind of nice that you know so he helped get your dad out too helping my dad and the neighbor across the street uh hallway is a vietnam vet and uh i was concerned about her too because she doesn’t know he’s you know she’s always there and so i was also concerned about her and she got out too i don’t know about the upstairs people but i just know about the lower ones now everyone did escape that fire which has always left behind its stories good and bad i’m neil carlson reporting for inews dot tv you
