We now have more details regarding the arrest of uh Andrew Ibowski in Grand Forks this week in what was a terrifying ordeal for a Grand Forks woman. Itowski has now been charged with attempted gross sexual imposition, burglary, and felonious restraint. Uh reading from the uh criminal complaint in part on July 16th, a woman uh reported she had uh t was in the bath when she heard a knock on her apartment door. She quickly dried herself off and put a towel on to answer the door and observed a male uh outside of her door. Uh she recognized as someone who lived in her apartment building. She had said she had never spoken with the male but had seen him several times in the building. Uh she described him as crazy eyed and did not remember what uh type of clothing he was wearing. The male stated he couldn’t stay at his residence and asked if he could sleep with her, then laughed and asked if it was all right. Uh she thought he was a crazy person. He then quickly pushed his way into the apartment and closed the door behind him. The male then grabbed her by the shoulders and pushed her into a corner near the door, put her in a bear hug, and pushed her uh over a nearby countertop near the fridge. Uh the victim informed the officer she was screaming for help during the incident and was able to break free and ran out the apartment door and ran outside to look for help. Uh she ran down the street to a friend’s home just wearing a towel while she ran. Iberowski was arrested and now charged while still in her apartment. I’m Bob Carlson reporting for i news.tv.
