Update: No Fatalities in Highway 75 Collision Near Halstad, MN Involving Climax Resident

HALSTAD, MN (trfnews.i234.me)—An earlier report regarding a head-on collision on Highway 75 north of Halstad, Minnesota, has been updated. Lieutenant Mike Lee of the Minnesota State Patrol has confirmed that, as of now, there are no fatalities resulting from the crash.

The incident occurred just after midnight on Saturday, January 25, 2025, involving a 68-year-old male driver from Climax, Minnesota, operating a Ford Taurus, and a semi-truck driven by 26-year-old Luis Enrique Pardo from Mexico. The vehicles collided in the southbound lanes of Highway 75 under snowy and icy road conditions.

Further information regarding the condition of the Ford Taurus driver is expected to be released on Sunday, January 26, 2025. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
