FARGO, ND (trfnews.i234.me) Here’s the latest from Fargo Police regarding 2 shooting incidents early Sunday morning. Four people were shot. Two people are dead and no suspect has been named yet.
This update now from Fargo police regarding two people killed in two separate shootings early on this Sunday morning. Quote, “In the early morning hours of Sunday, August 3rd, Fargo police responded to two separate shooting incidents. The first occurred at approximately 1:56 a.m. in the 50 block of Broadway in the downtown incident. Three adults sustained gunshot wounds. One victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. One remains in critical condition and one sustained non-life-threatening injuries. At approximately 2:26 a.m., officers responded to a second second incident in the 4700 block of 16th Avenue South. Upon arrival, officers located one individual deceased. No other injuries were reported. Mayor Dr. Tim Mahoney stated, quote, “We all awoke this morning to shocking developments in Fargo. While we are assuredly shaken, I want to reiterate that Fargo is a safe community with a steadfast, dedicated, and welle equipped police force that will tirelessly investigate these homicides. I am asking for the public’s patience as uh Fargo police does do their work by uncovering the facts and not the hype. Fargo remains a unified community that values safety, cares about one another, and stands together in trying times.” Police Chief Dave Sabolski added, “A significant amount of work is underway to gather evidence, conduct interviews, and determine the sequence of events that led to this incident. We understand the community wants answers, and we are committed to doing the work needed. Our detectives are actively pursuing leads and gathering evidence. We continue to encourage anyone with information to come forward so we can hold those involved accountable.” The uh Fargo Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division is actively investigating both incidents. At this time, it’s unknown whether the shootings are connected. Detectives are working to determine any potential links between them.
