Update: Fatal Virginia, Minnesota Fire Results in Death of One Man and Injuries to Two Police Officers

VIRGINIA, MN (trfnews.i234.me) A suicidal man is deceased and 2 Virginia, Minnesota police officers were injured during a Thanksgiving Day morning fire in that town.
we have an update on that Thanksgiving Day fire up in Virginia Minnesota one man is dead and two police officers are injured uh the was a result of a structure fire early uh Thanksgiving morning in downtown Virginia officers called to the area where a man threatened to commit suicide and burn down a building officers attempted to make contact with the man but discovered that a garage apartment was on fire with the man inside officers tried to persuade the man to leave but were unsuccessful and the building became engulfed in flames the fire was reported around 5:00 a.m. in the alley in the 100 block of First Street North two Virginia police officers were transported by ambulance to the hospital one is being treated for severe burns to multiple parts of his body the other officer was treated for smoke inhalation and later released the man’s body was located in the apartment uh the cause of the fire remains under investigation being investigated uh by local authorities the Minnesota State Fire Marshals and the Minnesota BCA I’m Neil Berg reporting for I trfnews.i234.me
