Pennington County (trfnews.i234.me): Two-Vehicle Crash Reported South of Thief River Falls
Authorities responded to a two-vehicle crash Friday evening at the intersection of 150th Street and Pennington Avenue in Pennington County, Minnesota.
According to the Thief River Falls Police Department, the incident occurred at approximately 5:48 p.m. on September 26.
A 2021 Ford Edge driven by Joseph Tulibaski of Argyle entered the intersection and collided with a 2024 Chevy Tahoe driven by Theodore Bettin of Thief River Falls.
Investigators determined that Tulibaski allegedly failed to yield to the Tahoe, which had the right of way on Pennington Avenue.
He has been cited for failure to stop at an entrance to a through highway.
Both vehicles sustained damage, but there were no reported injuries.
Traffic was temporarily slowed as law enforcement assisted with clearing the roadway and documenting the crash.
The police department reminds drivers to come to a complete stop at intersections and check for oncoming traffic before proceeding.
Failure to yield remains one of the most common causes of crashes in rural Minnesota intersections.
