GRAND FORKS, N.D. (trfnews.i234.me) – In Grand Forks, North Dakota, two men have been arrested for allegedly possessing images and videos depicting the sexual exploitation of minors. Devon Hegland and Gabriel Basilio face five charges each of possession of certain materials prohibited under state law.
On January 15, 2025, a search warrant was executed at both suspects’ residences. At Basilio’s home, Grand Forks Police discovered 84 files containing children aged between three and twelve years performing sexual acts on his Google and Snapchat accounts. According to court documents, Basilio admitted to possessing images and videos of females ranging in age from eight to seventeen who were either nude or engaged in sexual activities. Additionally, it was revealed that Basilio is a Mexican national not holding United States citizenship.
At Hegland’s residence, 23 files featuring children aged between five and fourteen years engaging in similar acts were found on his Dropbox and Google accounts. While Hegland claimed ownership of the Google account, he denied any involvement with the content depicting minors engaged in sexual activities. Both men were arrested on January 15 and booked into Grand Forks County Jail.
