GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) Two people were rescued from an early Saturday morning house fire in Grand Forks. At this point, authorities have not released their condition. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
breaking news out of grand forks early on this saturday morning we’ve had police officers and firefighters rescue two people from a house fire just after 2 a.m i’ll turn on fire stations station one ten ten thousand north twenty one ten ten thousand north so large amount of smoke in the house do you not see any planes at this time now this in a news release from the grand forks uh police department sergeant dries uh quote at approximately 205 a.m officers of the grand forks police department were dispatched to 2110 10th avenue north for a report of smoke in the residence altru paramedics and grand forks fire personnel were dispatched as well while in route officers were informed that the caller one of the residents could feel that the door of their room was hot to the touch and they couldn’t get out of the house upon arrival officers were able to see visibly see smoke and fire in the residence and were able to see the caller through a north side window officers forced the window open however they were still unable to get him out through it at that time grandpark’s fire personnel entered the residence and with other officers assistants were able to get the caller out of the house through the window as fire personnel were inside a second victim the other resident was also found and removed from the building fire personnel succeeded in putting out the fire in the residence without further incident both of the residents were transported to altru for treatment for their injuries and heavy smoke inhalation there were no other occupants in the house unquote now that was from the grand forks police department i also talked with the grand forks fire department who says no word yet on the conditions of the two occupants of the home they’ll release more information later today we’ll have that for you when it’s available i’m Neil Berg reporting for trfnews.i234.me
